New Zealand Snowboard Camp - September 6-16, 2008

- Registration for this camp is now closed -
- Stay tuned for our next 'World Trip' - Japan Feb 09 -

Pro Ride is heading south for the summer and we will be running a limited numbers all mountain freeride freestyle snowboard holiday to some of the most fun resorts in the southern hemisphere.

We will be flying into Queenstown NZ (Wanaka arrival is OK too) on Saturday September 6th and we will head over the Crown Range to the beautiful town of Wanaka. This is where we will make our base and you can choose to stay for either 7 or 10 nights. If you are already in Wanaka you can choose our training only clinics

Lake Wanaka has always been a magnet for visitors because of its spectacular alpine location and fabulous climate - hot and dry in summer, crisp and sunny in winter. Adjacent to the Mount Aspiring National Park World Heritage area, the region is renowned for its diverse landforms - mountains, glacier-caved lakes, snowfields, rock bluffs, alpine meadows, forests and river flats.

Locations
We will have 3 mountains to choose from to ride and we will pick which one we will ride each morning based on the weather prediction for the day.

Treble Cone
Spread over three basins, Treble Cone has terrain to suit all skill levels. TC's vertical drop (705 meters) is nearly double that of nearby fields, consequently the field has vast amounts of advanced terrain. Having said that, a recent trail enhancement program has resulted in additional intermediate groomed trails. It seems that everyone can have fun here.

Cardrona
Cardrona turns it on for freestyle boarders with three terrain parks, a wide range of rails and jumps, up to four halfpipes and a Gravity Cross course. There is also loads of great freeriding terrain and some great steeps where they often host a local extreme competition.

Snow Park

The southern hemisphere's first specialized freestyle resort, Snow Park is situated high above the Cardrona Valley. The park has a veritable smorgasbord of terrain features: a super pipe of international standard, beginner pipe, ride wall, quarter pipe, 40+ rails, boxes and hits of varying sizes, two giant hips, a snow skate area and extensive terrain for learners. A 5000 watt sound system is the icing on the cake.

Coaches

Your head coach Anthony Crute has spent many seasons traveling NZ on the competition circuit and knows all of the best places to ride and hang out. He will also be helped out by the likes of NZ pro rider Anthony Leffelaar and Pro Ride Coaches Duncan Mainland, Lisa Corcoran and Karen Lyons. (For more coach info click here >>)
